A forma da circunferência no chão é feita com o meu próprio corpo, posicionando-me no centro do círculo dou um passo e meio e marco os pontos com a grama aparada. Eu continuamente executo os passos do centro para a borda, criando uma relação de linha entre onde meu corpo estava e sua expansão-repercussão-eco-limite, até que possa começar a ver a forma do círculo. Então ajusto a grama até que esteja suficientemente linear.
A grama é cortada em ambiente externo por outra pessoa, com quem não tenho nenhuma relação, e depois acomodada em um espaço interior. Havendo então um procedimento ritualístico, que incorpora a energia humana e realoca os elementos da paisagem. Surgindo de fora para dentro, e num segundo momento de dentro para fora.
Penso na transitoriedade e no vazio. Algo que já não cresce mais cria um espaço próprio e altera o espaço circundante, fazendo com que as pessoas desviem ou invadam sua forma.
The size of the circumference on the floor is made using my own body, by positioning myself in the center of the circle I take a step and a half and mark with mown grass my own measurement. I continually perform the steps from the center to the border, until I can begin to see the shape of the circle. Then I adjust the grass until it is straight enough.
The grass is cut by somebody other than myself, that I don't have any relation to, and then disposed in an interior space. There is something ritualistic about it, and that demonstrates how human energy creates something and relocates its objects. It’s also about transience and vacuity.
Something that no longer grows creates a space of its own and alters the surrounding space, making people either detour or invade its form.
The action of displacing the grass holds some resemblance to the making of a nest, except for its human dimensions and the inexistence of a life inside, even though life can be sensed as the applied energy in it, because of its form, it has a structured presence.
This fragile and shapeless element creates an existence that is vapid and free, but also strong and constrained. It incorporates the paradox of nature with and without its force and life.
