4 blocos de gelo e uma montanha de sal grosso é feito a partir do alinhamento de quatro blocos de gelo, sobre os quais o sal grosso é derramado na forma de uma montanha. Uma vez colocado no topo dos blocos de gelo, o sal entra pelas frestas e diminui o ponto de fusão da água, derretendo o gelo mais rapidamente. Dado o peso do sal grosso e seu poder de derretimento, os blocos-paralelepípedos se tornam côncavos e a montanha de forma convexa gradualmente desce e se deforma.
    Em um dia e meio, os 100 litros de gelo se transformam em água e evaporam, restando apenas o sal grosso, que se concentra onde antes ficava a escultura. A água salgada se espalha por toda a sala, deixando marcas determinadas pela topografia da superfície do piso.
    A passagem do tempo faz com que se criem no chão dois corpos de sal grosso: o que se concentra no centro e o outro, espalhado por todos os lados. Há uma oscilação entre montagem-desmontagem, integração-desintegração, conjunção-dissolução.


    4 blocks of ice and a mountain of coarse salt is an alignment of four blocks of ice, upon which coarse salt has been poured into the form of a mountain. Once placed on top of the ice blocks, the salt enters through the cracks and lowers the melting point of the water, melting the ice faster. Because of the weight of the coarse salt and its melting power, the parallelepiped blocks depress into a concave, and the convex-shaped mountain gradually descends and deforms.
    In a day and a half, the 100 liters of ice are transformed into water and evaporate, leaving only the coarse salt, which is concentrated where the sculpture once stood. Saltwater has now spread throughout the room, leaving markings determined by the topography of the floor-surface. 
    The passage of time has caused two bodies of coarse salt to be created on the floor: that which is concentrated in the center and the other,  spread out on all sides. There is an oscillation between assembly-disassembly, integration-disintegration, conjunction-dissolution
